Tempers Flare Between Conor McGregor and Diego Brandao At UFC Dublin Weigh Ins

There was no love lost between Conor McGregor and Diego Brandao at the official UFC Dublin weigh ins today.

Brandao walked out to a hostile Dublin crowd in the O2 arena to a sea of boos but took the vitriol in his stride before stepping onto the scales and making weight.

McGregor strolled out to a hero’s welcome, soaking up the atmosphere. In the heat of the moment, McGregor flung his hat at the Brazilian. Brandao responded by aggressively throwing the hat off the stage.

The situation intensified as the warriors squared off for the stare down. UFC president Dana White needed to hold back both fighters as they moved towards each other trying to psyche their respective opponent out.

After the stare down, the Notorious ripped the mic from Andy Friedlander’s firm grasp and vowed he will be victorious on Saturday night.

“Tomorrow I take his head clean off!”

You can watch Conor McGregor take on Diego Brandao in the main event at UFC Fight Night Dublin: McGregor vs Brandao  which will be broadcast on Setanta and 3e (part of the TV3 network) in the Republic of Ireland.

The prelims will be shown live exclusively on UFC Fight Pass. Fans can sign up to Fightpass.com to receive a free 7 day trial.
