You thought the San Francisco 49ers had controversy with head coach Jim Harbaugh this offseason, things could get a lot worse with this new headline.
According to TMZ, 49ers’ quarterback Colin Kaepernick is reportedly under investigation for a potential sexual assault that occurred in Miami, Florida, earlier this month.

49ers’ general manager Trent Baalke reportedly told TMZ Sports this, regarding the situation:
“The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”
While this certainly isn’t a good look for Kaepernick, who’s seeking a new long-term deal, we shouldn’t rush to conclusions until all the information is collected and delivered.
In most of these cases, the party claiming foul play makes a bigger issue out of something that either never transpired, or something very little. And because Kaepernick is such a prominent figure, it makes him more of a target for these unfortunate circumstances.
Stay tuned for more details as this story develops. But my first reaction is – leave the guy alone.
