MLB Investigations: The Biogenesis Scandal and 15 Players on The List
After the dark, looming cloud that is Biogenesis exploded less than 72 hours ago, rain fell in Wisconsin, and across the world, as a legendary Brewer , and former MVP in Ryan Braun was caught red-handed, finally forced to admit wrongdoing in his case. He cut a deal with MLB to avoid a longer sentence, and the Player’s Union are in full support of Ryan admitting what he did wrong, which is a first, but could be caused by the growing number of clean players in the game, which the union has to represent(majority). Who’s next on the growing list to be suspended? Alex Rodriguez recently attended a meeting with MLB and came out of it a bit shaken by the evidence against him, just as Braun was. So, it is likely we will see Rodriguez cut a deal, but we can only speculate the length of the suspension at this time. The rest of the players on this list will have to weigh many options, including whether it would be worth it to lie to the fans, appeal, and pull a “Braun” for a year or so until they would have to serve suspension, or just tell the truth and cost their team down the stretch of the 2013 season. Either way, here’s the list of players involved: Keep in mind, there are more that have yet to be unveiled.
-Ryan Braun, Brewers- Suspended rest of 2013 season w/o pay(65 games)
-Alex Rodriguez, Yankees- Most likely will be next to cut a deal and receive a suspension.
