On Saturday August 18th, Strikeforce heads to the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. Headlining the event will be “Rowdy” Ronda Rousay defending her Women’s Bantamweight title against Sarah Kauffman.
This card is loaded with talent from start to finish. One of the preliminary bouts features Keith Berry taking on Adlan Amagov in a middleweight contest that will have more fireworks than the fourth of July.
Adlan Amagov (9-2-1) is heavy handed Russian fighter who has won six of his nine victories by TKO. After losing is first pro fight, Amagov rattled off seven wins and one draw primarily in his native Russia before signing with Zuffa’s under the Strikeforce banner. He continued his success in his first two fights with Strikeforce until losing his last fight to Robbie Lawler.
Not only is Amagov a very technical striker but he is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion where he won the Middleweight gold medal at the NAGA World Championships this past year and also won a silver medal in the light heavyweight divison in 2011.
Keith”KO Kid” Berry (11-9) is also a very heavy handed striker who possess one punch knock out power. The California native has won seven of his 11 victories by TKO and will look to put on a huge performance in front of his friends and family. He is looking for his first win with Strikeforce after two unsuccessful bouts last year. Berry is always pushing the pace and engaging his opponents which will be key in his fight against Amagov.
