On September 15th Karl “The Original Son of Punishment” is set for a heavyweight war with Karol “Coco” Bedorf at KSW 20 – Fight Symphony inside Gdansk/Sopots Ergo Arena.  The event is headlined by former UFC fighter Houston Alexander who will take on Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title.

Knothe (20-8) has been training and working towards cutting his weight down and begin fighting at light heavyweight but when he got the call to fight Bedorf he put the brakes on the very strict diet and immediately began focusing on his opponent.  Karl is a fantastic grappler for a big man and uses his strength and size to overpower his opponents and ground and pound his way to victory. Few big men possess this type of skill so it is a perfect ace up the sleeve of Knothe as he does prefer to stand and strike with his opponents.  He is a very exciting fighter and looks for a big finish and won 19 of his 20 fights before the final horn. He will have a big test against a very tough Bedorf.

Karol “Coco” Bedorf (7-2) will be the home town hero inside the Ergo Arena as the Szczecin Poland native has been training with the Szczecin Top Team in preparation for this fight. Fresh off his latest victory back in February at KSW 18 over the tough American David Olivia. “Coco” is a great wrestler who owns a diverse catalogue of submissions and has won three of his seven fights this way. His striking cannot be over looked as the 228 pounder has serious knock out power. Bedorf will feed off of the energy of the crowd and give the American an unpleasant welcome
